Suresh Bijlani, the main accused in Navi Mumbai builder Sunil Lahoria murder case got another 10 days relief after the supreme court adjourned to March 24.
Bijlani who had got a interim bail of one month on the grounds that his 70 year old father Chellaram Bijlani suffering from oral cancer needs to undergo a surgery at Wockhart hospital, was to surrender before the court on March 14.
However Biljanli moved an application before the supreme court seeking extension on the same grounds. Lahoria's son Sandeep as well as Mumbai crime branch went in appeal before the SC for cancellation of his extention saying that every time Bijlani sights same reasons for his bail.
Crime branch have now asked the Wockhart hospital to furnish the status report of his father's health. "We are opposing the extension as well his bail as our investigations are going on and we are yet to arrest the other two accused-Mahesh Bijlani and Anuragh Garg at this stage if he granted bail it will hamper our case..
Lahoria was shot on February 16 last year outside his Navi Mumbai office and police have so far arrested 11 persons including retired encounter specialist Emannual Ammolik.
