Woman dies by suicide after jumping off 14th floor of building in Mumbai

MUMBAI: A 52-year-old woman allegedly died by suicide after jumping off the 14th floor of her residential building at Malad East on Monday. Dindoshi police are probing whether she was disturbed. An accidental death entry has been recorded by the police. Police said the woman was a homemaker and resided at Makrani Pada with her two sons and a daughter. Her husband had passed away a few years ago. Around 7 am, she allegedly jumped from the balcony of her apartment. After she was found lying injured in the ground, she was moved to the Trauma Care Hospital in Jogeshwari. Doctors pronounced her dead on admission. Police will be making inquiries with her children and relatives.
