3 Indian gaur, 1 other animal found dead in Melghat, poisoning suspected

Amravati: Three Indian gaur and another animal were found dead in the forest near Harisal in Melghat on Thursday afternoon. Officials said the forest department personnel were alerted after the carcasses were discovered in a jungle patch near Chaurakund. A forest team rushed to the spot and conducted a panchanama. Veterinary doctors were also summoned for assistance. While initial suspicion points to poisoning as the cause of death, forest officers said the exact reason will be confirmed only after autopsy.
