Mosquito control campaign launched by PMC
Patna: The Patna Municipal Corporation (PMC) on Friday launched a city-wide mosquito control campaign. As part of the drive, workers are cleaning manholes, catchpits and drains and spraying chemicals to destroy mosquito larvae. Sawdust bundles soaked in oil are being placed in stagnant water to curb breeding. The civic body is monitoring the work through geo-tagged photos sent to a control room, while residents are signing performance reports for verification. The campaign also includes fogging and desilting of drains. Citizens have been advised to avoid water accumulation and report stagnant water through the municipal helpline.
