PPU reschedules UG exams; now from June 22
Patna: Patliputra University (PPU) has rescheduled the undergraduate (UG) semester-IV examinations for the 2024–28 academic session. As per the revised programme, the exams will now be held from June 22 to 25, instead of the earlier schedule of June 20 to 25.PPU examination controller Manoj Kumar said the examinations will be conducted in two sittings each day — from 9.30am to 12.30pm and from 2pm to 5pm. Thousands of students enrolled in various UG courses under the choice-based credit system (CBCS) are expected to appear. He said necessary arrangements have been made for smooth conduct of the examinations at centres across colleges in Patna and Nalanda districts. The revised schedule has been uploaded on the university portal, and colleges have been asked to inform students.Meanwhile, the university will conduct a special examination on June 30 for students of the 2023–27 session who were declared failed or promoted earlier, giving them an opportunity to clear pending papers.Officials said the decision is likely to benefit a large number of students awaiting completion of their academic requirements. Candidates have been advised to check the revised schedule and admit cards carefully and follow examination guidelines strictly.
Students have also been asked to reach their centres well in advance and carry valid admit cards and identity proofs. The rescheduling aims to ensure better administrative preparedness and smooth conduct of the examinations, Kumar added.
