Woman dies after container truck hits scooter in Moshi

Pune: A 30-year-old woman died while her father suffered injuries after a container hit their scooter in Moshi around 3.30pm on Wednesday.The Bhosari MIDC police have identified the deceased woman as Savita Kamble (30), a resident of Bhosari. Her father, Eknath Kuchekar (65), suffered severe injuries to his right hand. The police registered a case of causing death by negligence against the container truck driver.An officer from the Bhosari MIDC police said the accident occurred while Kuchekar was taking his daughter home from Moshi. “The container truck hit their scooter, killing the woman on the spot,” he said.
