PALANPUR: Police seized Indian-made foreign liquor (IMFL) worth Rs 28 lakh at Khoda checkpost in Banaskantha from a truck coming from Jalore district in
Rajasthan on Saturday.
The operation undertaken under the guidance of district superintendent of police Ashok Kumar saw seizure of as many as 795 boxes containing 13,440 bottles of IMFL worth Rs 28.8 lakh.
Truck driver Bheraram Shiyaji Vishnoi and cleaner Ashok Kumar Mohanlal Vishnoi, who belonged to Karavdi village in Sanchor taluka of Jalore district in Rajasthan, were arrested.
The liquor consignment was to be delivered in Bhuj in Kutch district. The truck has also been seized.
