Two-year-old girl allegedly killed by mother’s live-in partner in Vijayawada

Vijayawada: In a gruesome incident that has shocked residents, a 2-year-old girl was allegedly killed by her mother's live-in partner following a domestic dispute under Gannavaram police station limits. According to police, the accused, identified as Vamsi, was in a relationship with the child's mother and was cohabiting with her. During an argument, he reportedly lost his temper and violently threw the toddler against a wall. The impact proved fatal, leading to the child's death on Wednesday. Based on a complaint given by the victim's father, the Gannavaram police filed a complaint against the accused Vamsi and the victim's mother and took both of them into custody. Investigation is underway.
