Andhra Pradesh Lok Sabha Election Results 2024 Live: The Lok Sabha elections in Andhra Pradesh, held on May 13 were conducted to elect 25 members to the 18th Lok Sabha. The ruling YSRCongress Party, headed by chief minister Jagan Mohan Reddy, encountered fierce opposition from the Congress-led INDIA bloc and the united forces of the Bhartiya Janta Party, Telugu Desam Party, and Jan Sena Party.

Notable candidates for the TDP in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections in Andhra Pradesh included YS Sharmila Reddy and Yedugiri Sandinti Avinash Reddy of Yuvajana.

Exit polls forecasted a substantial victory for the BJP-led NDA, projecting them to secure between 21 and 25 seats. The YSRCongress Party was predicted to win only 0-4 seats, while the Congress-led INDIA alliance was anticipated to draw a blank.

The elections witnessed a high voter turnout of 81.86%, with the BJP-TDP-JSP alliance emerging as a formidable force in the state. The YSRCP, which had secured 22 seats in the 2019 elections, experienced a considerable decline in its support base.

The election results, set to be declared today, are likely to have far-reaching consequences for the political landscape of Andhra Pradesh.

'Glad people stood by us:' Pawan Kalyan on Andhra Pradesh alliance victory

Actor turned politician and Jana Sena Party chief Pawan Kalyan expressed his gratitude and sense of duty following his alliance's significant win in Andhra Pradesh, both in Lok Sabha and Assembly polls. He said that being a part of the NDA feels good.

"I'm glad people stood by us. I feel very accountable and responsible for the mandate. It feels good to see such a thumping majority for our alliance and being a part of it I feel good. We will work towards whatever we have promised," Kalyan said.

He also mentioned that after today's scheduled NDA meeting, the power-sharing and further procedures will be discussed.

Andhra Pradesh Election Results 2024 Live: Landslide victory for NDA in Andhra Pradesh

The NDA alliance of TDP, BJP and Janasena won a landslide victory in Andhra Pradesh on Tuesday, bagging 21 parliamentary and 164 assembly seats. The TDP won 16 Lok Sabha seats, BJP three and Janasena two, decimating the YSRCP. Out of 25 Lok Sabha seats, NDA swept 21 seats away while YSRCP managed to win only four seats.
With the BJP failing to get a majority on its own in the Lok Sabha, TDP's 16 seats will be crucial for the NDA.

The TDP bagged 135 Assembly seats out of 175, Janasena 21 and BJP eight while YSRCP was restricted to just 11 seats, according to the data disseminated by the Election Commission.

In an impressive performance, Janasena won all the seats allocated to it as part of a seat-sharing deal among the NDA partners, 21 Assembly and two Lok Sabha, scoring a cent per cent win rate.

Andhra Pradesh Election Results 2024 Live: TDP candidate from Guntur Pemmasani become richest MP in Lok Sabha

Chandra Sekhar Pemmasani, the Telugu Desam Party candidate from Andhra Pradesh's Guntur, has become the richest candidate to win the Lok Sabha poll this time. Pemmasani's assets are valued at Rs 5,700 crore. He defeated his nearest rival the YSRCP's Kilari Venkata Rosaiah by over 3.4 lakh votes.

BJP's Konda Vishweshwar Reddy, who contested from the Chevella seat in neighbouring Telangana, is the second wealthiest winner with assets worth Rs 4,568 crore. He won by a margin of over 1.72 lakh votes.

Industrialist Naveen Jindal, the BJP's Kurukshetra Lok Sabha seat candidate with declared assets worth Rs 1,241 crore, won by 29,021 votes.

Another wealthy candidate who won the polls is TDP candidate from Andhra Pradesh's Nellore Prabhakar Reddy Vemireddy with declared assets worth Rs 716 crore. He won by over 2.45 lakh votes.

Chandrababu Naidu-led Telugu Desam Party (TDP) is set to make a comeback to power in Andhra Pradesh with a landslide victory in both Assembly and Lok Sabha polls as per the early trends of the Election Commission of India (ECI). As per the Election Commission data, the Janasena Party is leading on 19 seats, the BJP on 7 seats while the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) is leading on 13 seats in Andhra Pradesh. In the Lok Sabha polls, TDP is leading on 16 seats, YSRCP on 4 seats, BJP on 3 and JNP on 2 seats, the poll body said. AP Election Results 2024: Parties impart intense training to their counting agents for verdict day

As an intense electoral battle is anticipated, political parties—especially the YSRCP and the NDA alliance (TDP, BJP, and Jana Sena)—have focused on training their agents for Tuesday’s counting. These training sessions, which began about a week ago, continued until Sunday to familiarise agents with their roles and responsibilities during the counting process. Apart from the official machinery, agents are the sole individuals who will remain until the results are officially announced at the counting centres. Once entered, they cannot leave the centres for any emergency purpose. YSRCP general secretary Sajjala Ramakrishna led the training sessions, while TDP senior leaders Yanamala Ramakrishnudu, Devineni Umamaheswara Rao, and others provided training to chief election agents of the party at the central office. Similarly, Jana Sena conducted a training programme at its central office in Mangalagiri two days ago, in addition to holding a separate session for Pithapuram agents. District- and constituency-level training for agents of different parties continued until Sunday in various parts of Andhra Pradesh.

Each table will have one EVM in a round, which means all tables and all constituencies will have a minimum of 13 rounds and maximum of 29 rounds. The counting of votes for the General Election as well as the State Legislative Assembly of Sikkim and Arunachal Pradesh will start at 6 am on Sunday, it added.

Chief Election Commission Rajiv Kumar along with Election Commissioners Gyanesh Kumar and Sukhbir Singh Sandhu had reviewed the counting day preparations with all Chief Electoral Officers (CEO) and Returning Officers (RO).
