Union aviation minister Rammohan Naidu Kinjarapu launched DigiYatra at nine AAI airports, enhancing contactless processing for domestic passengers using facial recognition technology. This initiative significantly reduces airport entry time and supports sustainability by saving paper. Passenger data is encrypted, stored securely on smartphones, and destroyed within 24 hours to ensure privacy.
