Good response to evening OP services at KG Hospital
Visakhapatnam: In a move to address the increasing number of patients seeking medical care, King George Hospital (KGH) in Visakhapatnam launched evening outpatient services approximately a year ago. This initiative has proven to be a significant relief for patients, especially those travelling from distant regions.Currently, between 40 and 50 patients attend the evening OPD each day. Hospital authorities have noted that this has been particularly convenient for patients who have already visited the morning OPD, as they can now present their blood test and X-ray reports during the afternoon hours. The evening OPD services are beneficial for patients from states like Odisha, who travel long distances to seek treatment at KGH. Dr P Sivananda, KGH superintendent, said that evening OPD was launched as the hospital witnessed rise in patient numbers, with 2,500 to 2,700 new patients and 500 to 600 follow-up patients visiting the morning OPD daily. We also published the following articles recently
