Highlighting the challenges, District LPG Association President Seelam Ravi Babu said, “Our distributors are working tirelessly under difficult conditions to ensure that cylinders reach every household. We are strictly following the norms set by oil companies and the civil supplies department. However, attacks on distributors and interference with delivery vehicles are creating fear among delivery staff and disrupting services.Association President Seelam Ravi Babu and Secretary Gadde Srinivas further noted that incidents of physical attacks on distributors, as well as consumers confronting delivery vehicles in villages, have led to safety concerns among delivery personnel. In several areas, delivery boys are reluctant to visit households, forcing consumers to travel to godowns to collect cylinders themselves.
The association emphasized that such incidents are hampering the smooth functioning of the LPG delivery system and could worsen the ongoing supply situation. The State LPG Distributors’ Association has taken serious note of the incident and is planning to approach authorities seeking legal action against the individual involved in the assault. They urged LPG consumers across the state to understand the current crisis, remain patient, and cooperate with distributors. Consumers were advised to raise grievances through proper channels instead of resorting to violence, warning that such actions could severely disrupt cylinder delivery across the state.
