Four arrested with 14kg of ganja
Ernakulam rural police seized 14kg of ganja and arrested four individuals in two separate incidents. Two Keralites were found transporting 9kg of ganja in a vehicle used for migrant workers from Odisha. Two others from Odisha were caught with 5kg of ganja. The operation was conducted by the district anti-narcotic task force, SIT, and local police.

Four sentenced to 20 years RI for smuggling ganja
The I additional district court for NDPS Act Cases in Madurai sentenced four men to 20 years rigorous imprisonment for smuggling 951kg of ganja. Discovered during a vehicle inspection on February 15, 2023, each convict was fined 1 lakh. The significant quantity led to this severe punishment.

Seven held with 195 kg ganja from Vatva GIDC
The Ahmedabad crime branch seized 195 kg of ganja valued at Rs 42.86 lakh from Vatva GIDC, arresting seven individuals involved in smuggling it from Odisha. The contraband was concealed in packets transported by truck. The raid also resulted in the confiscation of the truck, cellphones, and scooters found at the godown.
