Danish Pandor aka Uzair of 'Dhurandhar: The Revenge' reacts to CBFC trimming down 25 seconds of crucial football scene

'Dhurandhar: The Revenge' has been a rage at the box office since its release in theaters. Amidst the buzz around the film, actor Danish Pandor, who played the role of Uzair Baloch, opened up about censoring a crucial football sequence in the movie. The actor talked about how, after the directions from the Central Board of Film Certification, 25 seconds of the scene was chopped.

Danish Pandor told Moneycontrol, "The censor board chopped off 25 to 30 seconds of that scene. When I read the script, I was excited about doing it. In the history of Indian cinema, we haven’t come across this scene. It was a big opportunity as an actor."




Uzair Baloch of 'Dhurandhar' movies added, "At the same time, I was cautious about how people were going to perceive it. I had to make it convincing and relatable so that it doesn’t look like I was doing it for the heck of it."

Danish went on to add that the scene needed certain emotions backing it. He said, "Thankfully, I proved it right. I did not disappoint the director and the audience. Somewhere, I felt I have justified that scene. A lot of people love that moment."

Danish Pandor plays the role of Uzair Baloch, brother of Rehman Dakait (Akshaye Khanna). His character takes over Rehman's throne after his demise. However, things change as the film progresses.

In one of the scenes, his character can be seen chopping off the head of Arshad Pappu, another gangster of the Lyari town, to showcase his superiority. Reportedly, the scene that had been trimmed down had Uzair playing football with Pappu's head.
