NewJeans, RIIZE, BABYMONSTER dominate December ratings for rookie idol group

The Korean Business Research Institute has released the latest brand reputation rankings for rookie idol groups, and there are some exciting developments in the K-pop scene!

The rankings, based on consumer participation, media coverage, interaction, and community awareness, were determined using big data collected from November 7 to December 7. Only idol groups that made their debut in 2022 or later were considered.

Topping the list for the eighth consecutive month is NewJeans, with a remarkable brand reputation index of 4,120,010. This marks an 8.93 percent increase in their score since November. Some key phrases associated with NewJeans include 'Super Shy,’ ‘Get Up,’ and ‘Bunnies.’ The group’s positive reactions scored an impressive 87.55 percent.

In a surprising move, RIIZE climbed to second place, experiencing a massive 138.14 percent increase in their score compared to the previous month, reaching a brand reputation index of 3,219,122 for December. BABYMONSTER, the rookie girl group from YG Entertainment, made a strong entry into the rankings, securing the third spot with a brand reputation index of 2,051,726.

ZEROBASEONE claimed the fourth position with a brand reputation index of 1,794,334, closely followed by LE SSERAFIM at fifth place, boasting a remarkable 57.96 percent increase in their score since November, with a brand reputation index of 1,774,686.

The top 30 for this month includes rising groups like NMIXX, H1-KEY, BOYNEXTDOOR, KISS OF LIFE, Kep1er, CSR, FANTASY BOYS, tripleS, &TEAM, PLAVE, EVNNE, IRRIS, CLASS:y, NINE.i, The Wind, ARTBEAT, TEMPEST, mimiirose, xikers, YOUNITE, Queenz Eye, SUPERKIND, XODIAC, n.SSign, and LIMELIGHT.
