​Ranjini Jose shares her joy of sharing the stage with Grammy winner Shankar Mahadevan

Singer Ranjini Jose is elated to share the stage with Grammy winner Shankar Mahadevan, and also perform. Interestingly, it was also the first event for which Shankar Mahadevan landed in Kerala, after his historic win!

Ranjini took to her social media handle to express her excitement of collaborating with the veteran. In a note shared on Instagram, Ranjini wrote, “So where and how do I start!!! Shankar sir!!! First and foremost a big salute to the artist and human being in you. For being such a warm-hearted person which adds so much beauty to the music you share with the world. So, in the past, I’ve had opportunities to sing with Shankar sir live and in movies. But the gig held at Palakkad two days ago was nothing short of a miracle. The call came in quite unexpectedly from Prakash ettan and I immediately said I would come.”

Her note further reads, “The band consisted of a handful of magicians for musicians from Kerala Chennai and Bangalore. Sir walked into the stage from in between the vast crowd that waited on him patiently. What happened afterwards was pure magic. Music was flowing. The huge crowd cheered and sang along with us, as Sir interacted with everyone like an enthusiastic child. It was so beautiful to watch. I haven’t gotten over that evening, the blessing of having to have sung with him and having enjoyed the entire experience thoroughly. And this was his first performance in Kerala after receiving this accolade which made it all the more special. Adding some snippets that meant a lot to me, from during the show.”
