Anisur Rahaman Bidesh of the All India Trinamool Congress has won the Deganga constituency with 1,01,114 votes. He defeated Md Mofidul Hoque Sahaji Mintu of the All India Secular Front, who secured 83,296 votes, by a margin of 17,818 votes.Deganga is a general category constituency in North 24 Parganas, part of the Barasat Lok Sabha seat. It has a significant Muslim population and covers the rural Deganga community development block. In 2026, TMC has fielded Anisur Rahaman against BJP's Tarun Kanti Ghosh.In 2021, TMC's Rahima Mondal won with 1,00,105 votes, defeating ISF (Indian Secular Front)-backed candidate Karim Ali by 32,537 votes, with BJP's Dipika Chatterjee third with 38,446 votes. In 2016, TMC had held the seat. TMC has changed its candidate in 2026 from Mondal to Anisur Rahaman.
