10 new Vande Bharat Express trains! Prime Minister Narendra Modi will on Tuesday flag off ten new Vande Bharat Express trains in Ahmedabad. Vande Bharat Express trains by Indian Railways are the face of new age travel offered by the national transporter.

Vande Bharat Express trains are all air-conditioned chair car services with 8 or 16 coaches. The semi-high speed trains are self-propelled train sets with a driver cabin at each end and with “world-class” comforts for passengers.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will witness a synergised demonstration of indigenous defence capabilities in the form of a Tri-Services Live Fire and Manoeuvre Exercise at Pokhran, Rajasthan on Tuesday.

The exercise 'Bharat Shakti' will have on display an array of indigenous weapon systems and platforms as a demonstration of the prowess of the country, premised on the nation's Aatmanirbharata initiative, the Prime Minister's Office stated.

It will simulate realistic, synergised, multi-domain operations displaying integrated operational capabilities of the Indian Armed Forces to counter threats across land, air, sea, cyber, and space domains.

Key Equipment and Weapons Systems participating in the exercise include T-90 (IM) Tanks, Dhanush and Sarang Gun Systems, Akash Weapons Systems, Logistics Drones, Robotic Mules, Advanced Light Helicopter (ALH) and an array of unmanned aerial vehicles among others, from Indian Army showcasing the advanced ground warfare and aerial surveillance capabilities, the release said. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Gujarat on Tuesday and will flag off 10 new Vande Bharat trains, including a train between Ahmedabad and Mumbai Central.

In a major boost to the Railway infrastructure, connectivity and the petrochemicals sector, the Prime Minister will visit DFC's Operation Control Centre in Ahmedabad to lay the foundation stone and dedicate a slew of railway and Petrochemicals projects worth over Rs 1,06,000 crores.

The Prime Minister will lay the foundation stone of Railway Workshops, Loco Sheds, Pit lines/ Coaching Depots; the Phaltan - Baramati New line; Electric Traction System upgradation work and dedicate to the Nation two new sections of the Dedicated Freight Corridor between New Khurja to Sahnewal (401 Rkm) section of Eastern DFC and New Makarpura to New Gholvad section (244 Rkm) of Western DFC; Western DFC's Operation Control Center (OCC), Ahmedabad, the Prime Minister's Office stated.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will flag off two more Vande Bharat Express trains from Andhra Pradesh's Visakhapatnam via video conferencing on Tuesday (March 12).

The two new trains will operate between Visakhapatnam-Puri and Visakhapatnam-Secunderabad. With this, the total number of Vande Bharat Express trains operational from Visakhapatnam will be three.

During the occasion, PM Modi will also inaugurate completed portions of railway line doubling projects and other infrastructural developments, which will enhance train connectivity and contribute to the overall development of the region.

'One Station, One Product' stalls over the division will also be dedicated to the nation by the Prime Minister.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will virtually flag off the inaugural run of the Vande Bharat Express between Dr MGR Chennai Central and Mysuru on March 12, Southern Railway has said. The Prime Minister will also inaugurate the extended Vande Bharat Service from Mangaluru Central to Thiruvananthapuram Central, and the new Kollam–Tirupati Express, through video conferencing. The Chennai–Bengaluru–Mysuru train is the second Vande Bharat Express in this section. The first in this route was launched in 2022. (PTI)

He will also inaugurate the 401-km new Khurja Junction-Sanehwal section of the Eastern Dedicated Freight Corridor (EDFC) and the 224-km new Makarpura Junction-Gholvad section of the Western Dedicated Freight Corridor (WDFC). This crucial section of the EDFC will increase connectivity across major agricultural and industrial regions in north India, passing through 12 districts in Uttar Pradesh, Haryana and Punjab, a statement from the Dedicated Freight Corridor Corporation (DFCC) said.

"Only Congress and its arrogant alliance are facing the biggest problem with these development works worth lakhs of crores of rupees being done in the country. They are not able to sleep. More than Rs 9,000 crores have been spent on this expressway. From today, the experience of traffic between Delhi and Haryana will change forever. This modern expressway will work to shift gears not only in vehicles but also in the lives of the people of Delhi NCR. I congratulate the people of Delhi, NCR, and Haryana for this modern expressway. I wish you many good wishes," he said.

"I am glad that I got this opportunity to dedicate the Dwarka Expressway to the nation. More than Rs 9,000 crore were spent on this expressway. This will change the travel experience between Delhi and Haryana forever," he said.

He also inaugurated Urban Extension Road-II (UER-II)-Package 3 from Nangloi-Najafgarh Road to Sector 24 Dwarka section in Delhi; three packages of Lucknow Ring Road worth Rs 4,600 crores in Uttar Pradesh; and Anandapuram-Pendurthi-Anakapalli section of NH-16 worth Rs 2,950 crores in Andhra Pradesh.

He inaugurated the Kiratpur-to-Nerchowk part of NH-21 (two packages) worth around Rs 3,400 crore in Himachal Pradesh, the Dobaspet-Heskote segment (two packages) worth Rs 2,750 crore in Karnataka, and 42 other projects worth Rs 20,500 crore across the country.

"Today is an important day for India. The Prime Minister has set an objective before all of us in the form of a mission to make India's economy a five trillion dollar economy, to make a self-reliant India, and especially the dream of becoming a super economic power. The infrastructure that is going to be built is worthy of that, the example of that infrastructure is today's Dwarka Express Highway. This is a state of art project and I am happy to say that about 20% has been saved in this project from the estimated cost. I want to thank the Prime Minister as I requested him that after seeing this project, he should inaugurate it, he gave time and looked at each and every detail with great interest, I thank him for this...", he said.

Dwarka Expressway is a world class infrastructure project, he added.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a roadshow in Gurugram as part of his visit to Haryana to launch and lay the groundwork for 112 major national highway projects worth around Rs one lakh crore across the country. Right before the occasion, PM Modi, Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar, and Union Minister Nitin Gadkari visited the Dwarka Expressway.

He will inaugurate the Dwarka Expressway in Gurugram shortly.

"I believe that the 'Nari Shakti' can lead the technological revolution of India in this 21st century. Today, we see in the IT sector, space sector, and science sector how Indian women are making their name. In the number of women commercial pilots, India ranks first in the world.," he said.Through this initiative, 15,000 self-help groups will be connected, with the goal of training women to become drone pilots. These drones will be utilised for agricultural purposes, such as crop monitoring, fertiliser spraying, and seed sowing, providing additional income opportunities for numerous women.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi participated in the Sashakt Nari-Viksit Bharat programme in Delhi where disbursed around Rs 8,000 crore in bank loans to Self Help Groups (SHGs) at subsidised interest rates through Bank Linkage Camps set up by banks in each district. He also disbursed about Rs 2,000 crore in Capitalization Support Funds to SHGs. The initiative aims to equip 15,000 women-led SHGs with agricultural drones to assist in tasks such as crop monitoring, spraying fertilisers and sowing seeds.

According to a to the Delhi Traffic Police advisory, traffic flow in various sections of Dwarka would be curtailed for the inauguration of the Dwarka Expressway. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will launch the expressway in Dwarka Sector-25, and traffic will be controlled in the region from 8 am to 2 pm, according to an advisory released on Sunday. The caution advises passengers to avoid Dhulsiras Chowk, Sector 8-9 crossing, Carmel Chowk Sector-20, Janki Chowk near Sector-23 police station, and the Pochanpur flyover Sector-23 Chowk. "The general public and motorists are advised to keep patience, observe traffic rules and road discipline," the statement said.

"This programme marks a significant boost to Nari Shakti empowerment, paving the way for greater progress in our society.
