"The Chief Minister had said that people will come to Raj Bhawan. He didn't mean that people will go inside it. If even one pebble is thrown at the Governor, Chief Minister Gehlot will himself face it first, Rajasthan cabinet will face it, Rajasthan Police will face it," Rajasthan minister Pratap Khachariyawas told reporters. The minister was referring to a remark by chief minister Gehlot, when he suggested if the demand for convening a session is not met, his MLAs will “not be responsible” if people gherao the Raj Bhawan.

The BJP MP refuted allegations that his party was behind the attempts to topple the incumbent government in the state. "It is the internal feud of the Congress because of which they are on the brink of collapse in Rajasthan," he said.

"The way Raj Bhawan was made an arena for picketing and demonstrations, were they trying to get the sign on the papers forcefully? Demonstrations were held across Rajasthan. We condemn these acts hence we met the Governor today. There are many provisions in the law through which a solution can be found but this is not an arena or dangal."
