Evaluation process and digital shift

This year, the board implemented a major digital evaluation initiative through the On Screen Marking system. Under this process, answer sheets were scanned and uploaded to secure online platforms where teachers assessed them digitally instead of checking physical copies at evaluation centres. The initiative was introduced to reduce logistical burden, improve accuracy and speed up the assessment cycle.

The Class 12 examinations for the 2026 academic session were conducted from February 17 to April 10 across thousands of centres nationwide. More than 18.5 lakh students appeared for the examination, including over 10 lakh male candidates and more than 8 lakh female candidates.

Pass criteria and previous trends

According to board guidelines, students must secure at least 33 percent marks in every subject to pass the examination. In subjects involving practicals or internal assessments, candidates are required to score the minimum qualifying marks separately in theory and practical components.

Past data reflects a stable performance trend in recent years. The overall pass percentage stood at 87.33 percent in 2023 and improved to 87.98 percent in 2024. In 2025, the pass percentage further increased to 88.39 percent, with girls continuing to outperform boys in the final results.

Websites and access details

Once announced, students can check and download their provisional marksheets from cbse.gov.in, cbseresults.nic.in, DigiLocker and the UMANG app using their roll number, school number, date of birth and admit card ID. Students who have linked Aadhaar with DigiLocker may also access digital documents directly through the application. Following the result announcement, the board is also expected to open applications for verification of marks, obtaining photocopies of evaluated answer sheets, re evaluation requests and compartment examinations. Students are advised to regularly monitor official portals for confirmed updates regarding scorecards, post result activities and distribution of original certificates through their respective schools.

GT vs SRH Live Score, IPL 2026: Kagiso Rabada on fire, dismisses Ishan Kishan to leave SRH three down

GT vs SRH Live Score, IPL 2026: Gujarat Titans overcame a difficult start to reach 168/5 against Sunrisers Hyderabad thanks to superb half-centuries from Sai Sudharsan and Washington Sundar in Ahmedabad on Tuesday.

After being sent in to bat, Gujarat found scoring difficult right from the start as SRH’s seamers extracted movement and bounce from the surface. Pat Cummins immediately applied pressure with hard lengths, while Praful Hinge produced two crucial breakthroughs to leave the hosts struggling at 34/2 in the powerplay.

Sai Sudharsan once again became Gujarat’s stabilising figure. The left-hander absorbed pressure early before opening up with elegant strokeplay once the field spread. Nishant Sindhu briefly changed the momentum with a brisk 22 off 14 balls, smashing Nitish Kumar Reddy for a huge six and finding boundaries regularly before mistiming Pat Cummins to Heinrich Klaasen at long-off.

Washington Sundar then produced one of his best innings of the season. Starting cautiously, Sundar settled quickly against spin and later attacked the pace bowlers with smart placement and controlled aggression during the death overs.

Sudharsan continued his excellent run this season with classy boundaries through the off side and a clean straight six. He completed his fifty with a sweep against Shivang Kumar before eventually falling for 61 off 44 balls to Sakib Hussain.

Sundar carried the innings forward with a fluent unbeaten 50 off 33 deliveries, while Rahul Tewatia added a boundary off the final ball to help Gujarat finish with a competitive total on a challenging batting surface.
