He said: “I don’t know whether to be happy or angry with the number of times I’ve been hit from behind this season and had races taken away from us. I couldn’t believe it on lap one. People were still taking it easy, I thought. I got hit from behind, spun around and dropped all the way to the back. But with a good strategy from the team and by taking a lot of risks, as you can see from my car, I was able to fight my way back to the front. He added: “I need to review it, but I think the full-course yellow came out at a good time for me. It was all about managing energy until the end. Congratulations to these guys, it was an amazing race, and I’m happy to be on the podium with them today after everything that happened.”Also read: Dan Ticktum not ecstatic despite double poles in Monaco: “I have mixed emotions”
