Ultrahuman has opened pre-orders for Photon, a dual-wavelength red light therapy device that works with the Ultrahuman Ring to deliver personalised daily protocols. It starts at $249.
Most red light therapy devices treat every session the same. Photon doesn't. When paired with the Ring PRO or Ring AIR, it pulls your recovery score and sleep data to recommend which area to target that day—muscles, skin, or a wind-down routine—along with session length and the ideal time of day to use it.
The device runs two wavelengths simultaneously: 660nm red light, studied for skin appearance and collagen benefits, and 850nm near-infrared, which penetrates deeper and is more commonly linked to muscle recovery. All 12 LEDs emit both. Photon weighs around 600g, charges via USB-C, and runs six sessions per charge before needing a top-up. There's a 10-minute auto-shutoff so you're not babysitting it.
Red light therapy has 50+ years of research behind it—Photon is built around making that science a daily habit
The app side works on a goal-led protocol system—Recovery, Skin, Sleep, or General Wellness—rotating focus areas through the week. Each session includes a short educational explainer so users understand what they're doing and why.
It's a small but smart touch that most wellness hardware skips.
At $249, Photon undercuts premium RLT devices that routinely cost between $549 and $1,000
Ultrahuman CEO Mohit Kumar says the missing piece in red light therapy has always been personalisation, not the science. Photon is the company's attempt to close that gap by layering Ring biomarker data on top of an already-established therapy category.
Pre-orders are live at ultrahuman.com/photon. Deliveries are expected from June 2026. The Photon Protocols PowerPlug is included free for Ring PRO and Ring AIR users.
