'One Sided': Putin Blasts Gulf Nations At UN, Hurls 'American Hostage' Jibe Over Anti-Iran U.S. Move

Russia has hit out at the United States and its Gulf allies over a U.S.-led draft resolution on the Strait of Hormuz in the United Nations.Russian ambassador Vassily Nebenzia slammed the American-led proposal as “one-sided” and accused Washington of ignoring the real causes behind the growing instability in the Gulf. Nebenzia warned that Gulf nations were becoming “hostages of American policy in the Middle East” and claimed the US was dragging the region toward a dangerous confrontation. The Russian envoy also defended Iran’s position, while criticizing Western powers over freedom of navigation and maritime security.
