CM Siddaramaiah said a SIT would be constituted to probe the murder of journalist and progressive thinker Gauri Lankesh. Siddaramaiah said: "I have instructed the director general and inspector general of police (DG&IGP) to appoint an inspector general of police (IGP) to head the team. I have told them to take as many officers as possible and exclusively probe Gauri's murder."
