3-year-old Delhi boy reunited with family after three months

AGRA: A day after TOI reported about three-year-old Lucky from Delhi who was found crying at Agra Cant railway station three months ago, reunited with his family on Thursday.
His father Nizam Khan, who works at a construction firm, arrived in the city with a head constable of Delhi police to take the child. On seeing each other Lucky and his father started crying.
Resident of Tughlakabad, south east Delhi, Nizam Khan said “Lucky went missing on October 12 afternoon while he was playing outside. After searching him in the locality, we filed a missing complaint in Govindpuri police station on he next day. Today morning I was informed by police that Lucky is in Agra. I cannot express my happiness in words. Finally god has listened to the countless prayers made by me and my wife Shaina”.
Government Railway Police (GRP) found the child on October 13, alone and crying, at Agra Cantonment railway station. After it failed to find Lucky's parents, the GRP handed him over to Childline, an NGO (Non-governmental organisation) which works in coordination with the UP police to help children in distress. After initial counseling, the boy was produced in front of the CWC, from where he was sent to the children's home. Even after several rounds of counselling the child was able to say that his name is Lucky and that he is from Delhi. He was not able to tell anything about his parents or any other family member.
Narendra Parihar, district coordinator of Childline said, “In presence of CWC members on Thursday afternoon Lucky was introduced to his father. He recognised him and started crying. When asked he refused to stay back. Nizam Khan had filed a missing complaint with Delhi police and was accompanied by a head constable Rajendra Singh of Govindpuri police station. After required verification, CWC ordered handover of the child to Nizam Khan".
At the children's home in Shahganj where Lucky stays, 25 other kids are waiting for their loved ones. This includes children less than a year of age.
