Prayagraj: The 1st Heritage Walk, jointly organised by the Allahabad Museum and Dhara aur Dharohar (Prayagraj), was flagged off from the museum on Wednesday with the aim to familiarise participants with Prayagraj's rich historical, cultural and architectural legacy through guided visits and expert narration.
The heritage journey was inaugurated by divisional commissioner, Prayagraj, and director, Allahabad Museum, Soumya Agrawal. The inaugural walk focused on 3 galleries of the Allahabad Museum and prominent heritage sites of the city, including the Public Library, Vijayanagaram Hall, the University of Allahabad campus, and its Faculty of Arts.

Agrawal said Prayagraj was a representative city of Indian civilisation since ancient times. She highlighted that the city uniquely blends art, culture, antiquity and modernity, and the core objective of the heritage walk is to develop a fresh perspective among participants and the public to better understand and appreciate the city's multifaceted heritage.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from a group of women officers of the Indian Air Force, along with senior and eminent citizens of the city. Among those present were Kaveri Vij, Ishan and Mitali Chattopadhyay, Anushree Chauhan and coordinators of Dhara aur Dharohar, Vaibhav Maini and Adarsh Malviya, along with their team members Ayush Malviya and Tanushree Chauhan.
"More such heritage journeys are planned in the future to strengthen public engagement with Prayagraj's cultural and historical landmarks," said coordinator Maini.
