RPF foils two theft attempts at Parbhani railway station
Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: The Railway Protection Force (RPF) of the Nanded Division successfully foiled two theft attempts at Parbhani railway station as a part of their ‘Operation Yatri Suraksha'."RPF staffers were patrolling the vicinity of platform number 1 and the Foot Over Bridge (FOB) at Parbhani Railway Station on Tuesday morning, to avoid theft of passengers' property. During the surveillance, they nabbed a suspect who was attempting to steal passengers' luggage," said chief publicity inspector of Nanded division of South Central Railway, Rajesh Shinde.Later on the same day, the same team was patrolling the yard area near the FOB when they apprehended another attempting to commit a theft of passenger' luggage."Both accused were immediately handed over to the Govt Railway Police for further legal action. The cops have registered offences under the Sections 110 and 117 of the Maharashtra Police Act," Shinde said.The railway administration has urged passengers to report any suspicious activity to RPF personnel or to the Railway Security Helpline (139).
