Nainital Bank's regional manager, 3 others die in road crash in Moradabad
Bareilly: Four men, including a regional manager of Nainital Bank, died and another suffered critical injuries after their car rammed into a tractor-trolley from behind on Delhi-Lucknow national highway near Mankara Mor under Mundhapande police station of Moradabad district in UP on Monday morning. They all were from Nainital district of Uttarakhand and were heading towards Noida.Police said the car coming from the Rampur side was speeding and rammed into the tractor-trolley carrying bricks. The impact was so severe that the car got completely mangled and the occupants were trapped inside.Police rushed to the spot and pulled the five men out of the wreckage and took them to Mundhapande Community Health Centre, where doctors declared four of them dead. Another man who suffered critical injuries was referred to the district hospital.Circle officer (Highway) Rajesh Kumar said all the victims were residents of Nainital district in Uttarakhand and were travelling to Noida.The deceased include Dayal Singh Rawat of Nainital's Vimla Compound, Anil Negi (38), Sundar (42), and Bhuvan Bhandari (37) of Haldwani. Rawat was posted as regional manager at the Noida branch of Nainital Bank. The injured man, Yashdeep Pandey, is a yoga teacher in Haldwani.Police have sent the bodies for post-mortem.
