Bengaluru: The state govt Sunday reshuffled senior IAS officers, transferring and posting six officers to key positions across various departments.
Among the prominent postings, Anjum Parwez, who was awaiting posting after serving as additional chief secretary to former CM Siddaramaiah, has been appointed as additional chief secretary to the forest, ecology and environment department.
Munish Moudgil, special commissioner (administration, revenue and IT) of the Greater Bengaluru Authority, has been given concurrent charge as principal secretary to the chief minister (programme and project implementation), a newly created post.
Deepa Cholan has been transferred and posted as secretary to the transport department, while Cauvery BS, who was awaiting posting, has been appointed secretary to the urban development department.
Venkatesh MV has been transferred and posted as registrar of cooperative societies. Bharathi M has been appointed commissioner for transport and road safety.
Senior IPS officers transferred
The state govt also transferred three IPS officers and assigned them key responsibilities in the law enforcement and intelligence wings.
Pronab Mohanty, who was serving as director general of police (DGP), internal security division, has been transferred and posted as DGP, CID, special units and economic offences.
In addition to his new responsibilities, Mohanty has also been entrusted with the concurrent charge of the post of DGP (cyber crimes), CID.
In another key posting, Chandragupta, who was serving as inspector general of police (IGP), security (intelligence), Bengaluru, has been posted as IGP, intelligence. Labhu Ram, who was serving as IGP, intelligence, has been transferred and is awaiting posting.
