PPC boys, Mounts Club girls in semis

Bengaluru: PPC boys stormed into the semifinals with an authoritative 83-45 win over Vijayanagar Basketball Club, Mysore, in the State junior (U-18) basketball championships at the Sree Kanteerava stadium here on Tuesday.
PPC were well served by Varun, who scored a game-high 28 points and Aagneya, who chipped in with 19 points. For the losers, Vikas (14) and Bhawar (12) were the main scorers.
In the girls’ section, Mounts Club made the last-four stage with a 67-43 win over Young Orions Sports Club.Nilaya (19) and Taarushee (13) were the main scorers. Also joining them in the semifinals were DYES, Mysore, who scored a 65-29 win over Southern Blues in another last-eight stage match.
