Bengaluru: A 36-year-old rowdy-sheeter was hacked to death by a group of armed assailants in Hoskote Saturday night, prompting heightened police security at the area.Police said Kaleem Ullah Khan, a resident of Janata Colony at Sulibele of Hoskote taluk was riding back home when the miscreants, waiting near his house, intercepted him. They reportedly chased and assaulted him with lethal weapons. Despite his attempts to escape, the assailants repeatedly struck him, inflicting more than 20 injuries before fleeing the scene.Locals alerted police and rushed him to a nearby hospital, where he was declared brought dead. Khan, recorded as a rowdy-sheeter at Sulibele police station, had been involved in an attempt-to-murder case in 2017.A senior officer said Khan had been involved in a few other activities recently, and the murder happened over a rivalry. “We have clues about the assailants, and they will be nabbed soon.”
