Puri cops on lookout for rapist

Bhubaneswar: Puri district police have launched a manhunt to arrest a man accused of raping a six-year-old girl on Sunday. The suspect, identified as the minor's neighbour, is currently absconding. "We registered the case on Monday after receiving information from the hospital. The accused has been identified and will be arrested soon," a senior police officer said. The incident has sparked outrage, with BJD and Congress condemning the crime and criticising the police over lapses in women's safety.
