AAP hits back, says Harbhajan ‘parroting BJP’s script’

Jalandhar: A day after former India off-spinner and parliamentarian Harbhajan Singh claimed that the Rajya Sabha seat from Punjab was "sold", the Aam Aadmi Party on Saturday questioned his silence for the last four years.The AAP claimed that after switching allegiance to the saffron party, Harbhajan was "parroting a script given by the BJP".In a statement to ANI, Punjab finance minister Harpal Cheema said, "It is a serious question why he was silent for four years. Did he remember this only today after he joined the BJP? Now he is the BJP's parrot, and he will speak accordingly. He will present a concocted story given by the BJP. He is working for the BJP to defame the AAP. He is the BJP's spokesperson and will now spread such baseless and concocted stories."On Friday, Harbhajan, while reacting to an X user's taunt on why he hadn't resigned from the Rajya Sabha seat provided to him by the AAP, and what was his compulsion to join the BJP, stated, "....And to those calling me a traitor, first ask your own people at what price the Rajya Sabha seat of Punjab was sold.""If they don't tell you, I will tell you who received how much offering and from whose side. And how people were made ministers and officials to loot Punjab and deliver goods to the ‘Lala'.
