Delhi parties have come to loot Punjab, claims Sukhbir in Barnala
Bathinda: Sharpening its attack on political parties in Punjab controlled from Delhi, Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) president Sukhbir Singh Badal on Sunday asserted that be it the Congress, Aam Aadmi Party or the Bharatiya Janata Party, all Delhi-based parties came to rule and loot, while SAD was committed to serving Punjabis.Earlier, Sukhbir was guarded in taking on the BJP while making scathing attacks on the Congress and AAP. After BJP leader and Union home minister Amit Shah on Friday hinted at going solo in the next assembly elections, Sukhbir equated the BJP to other national parties. Addressing a rally at Tajoke village in Barnala district, Sukhbir urged people to stop experimenting, as no Delhi-based party could care for Punjab the way its own party could, which was with people through thick and thin. Asserting that Punjab suffered tremendously in the past nine years, Badal said, "Both the Congress and the Aam Aadmi Party looted the state and its resources and bankrupted it, while BJP is no less than these. SAD is committed to taking all of them to account if it forms the govt in 2027. SAD will take action against all acts of corruption committed by Congress and AAP leaders. They will repay each and every rupee looted by them.
" Badal also announced that a commission would be formed to review all false cases. Badal said Progressive Punjab Investors' Summit hosted by AAP govt turned out to be a damp squib. "AAP govt failed to do anything for four years, and now, at the fag end of their tenure, they resorted to a propaganda exercise to befool voters," he said.SAD leader Bikram Singh Majithia also addressed the rally.
