Coimbatore: The DMK on Sunday staged a day-long hunger protest against the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (
NEET). They sought the Central government to abolish the exam in Tamil Nadu.
DMK cadres gathered at Sivananda Colony, raising slogans against the BJP-led Union government for imposing NEET on the state. It was part ofa state-wide protest.
The protest saw participation of members of the youth and student wings of the DMK.
Former MLA N Karthi told the media that the protest would continue till the exam was scrapped in the state.
