Kohima DC reiterates ban on single-use plastic in villages
Dimapur: Kohima DC B Henok Buchem on Thursday reminded about the total ban on single-use plastic across all villages under the district.In a notification, issued in pursuance of the home department (GAB-I) notification on May 18, the directives of the Supreme Court on February 14, and the provisions of the Plastic Waste Management (Amendment) Rules 2021, Buchen reiterated earlier notifications on the ban issued by the state urban development department.Accordingly, all villages under Kohima district have been directed to strictly comply with the ban on various single-use plastic items.
