Yelburga (Koppal): In a notable example of prompt medical response, a pregnant woman safely gave birth to a baby girl inside an ambulance near Hosur in Yelburga taluk on Wednesday.The woman, identified as Sridevi from Katagihalli village, had initially been receiving care at the Hirevankalakunta Community Health Centre before being referred to the district hospital for further treatment. However, while en route in a 108 ambulance, she developed labour pain near Hosur.Sensing the urgency, the ambulance staff acted quickly and carried out the delivery within the vehicle. The procedure was completed without complications, and both mother and newborn were reported to be in good health.After the delivery, they were transported to the district hospital for continued medical care, where doctors confirmed that both remain stable.The swift action of ambulance personnel DK Patil and Kalakayya have drawn widespread appreciation from the public for effectively managing the emergency situation.
