HYDERABAD: The government has decided to shift special chief secretary C Arjun Rao, from the medical and health department barely before he completes two years in office following the ‘request’ made by Medical and Health Minister N Janardhan Reddy to Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu.

janardhan reddy, has requested naidu to transfer the officer, as both had troubled innings in the past. if he is there i cannot work, reddy reportedly told naidu, according to government sources. incidentally reddy was the medical and health minister and rao, the principal secretary in the department earlier also.the minister has complained to naidu that the arjun rao had never attended the meeting called by him and not cooperated with him in the past and wanted the officer to be shifted. g n phani kumar, ias, director of information and public relations, may also be shifted and the orders to this effect will be issued in a couple of days. s balasubramanyam, md, ap state trading corporation, is likely to succeed phani kumar.
