Ujjain: Health department officials in Ujjain sealed two clinics for illegal medical practices and registration violations, as part of two-week crackdown on private hospitals and clinics across the city.
Action was taken against Riddhi-Siddhi healthcare centre in Bhairavgarh area, where operator Dr RN Rathore, a homoeopathy degree holder, was found providing allopathic treatment to patients. The registration of the clinic, which was being run as a full-fledged hospital, had also lapsed in March.
Department officials also sealed Nirmaya Clinic in Indira Nagar, run by Dr Palash Jain, who was found operating without valid registration or permission under any system of medicine.
Chief medical and health officer Dr Ashok Patel said that repeated instances of negligence and non-compliance have been surfacing during the inspections.
