Angered over seeking leave, the headmaster reportedly shouted at her and refused to give her leave. Das was shocked by the extreme behaviour of the headmaster and fainted. She also fell to the floor in the headmaster’s room. The school staff rushed her immediately to the nearby Seraikela Sadar Hospital for medical attention.
The teacher gained consciousness after treatment and is currently recuperating. On receiving the information, the DSE and school management committee functionaries visited the school to enquire into the matter.
When asked what action will be taken against the headmaster, Hembram said, “The headmaster has expressed regret for his aggressive behaviour. The teacher has not made any formal complaint against him and the matter has been settled. said the DSE, when asked what action will be taken against the principal for his misconduct.” The DSE added that the school staff have complained to him that the principal often misbehaves with them on petty matters.
