Cantonment Club rout Super Striker to lift football title

TNNKanpur: Cantonment Football Club blanked Super Striker Club 3-0 to win the 7-a-side football tournament at Azad Park. Satyendra Yadav drew first blood in the ninth minute with a blistering strike from 20 yards. Two minutes later, he dodged a couple of defenders to net his second goal. In the second half, Sameer scored the third goal off a forward pass from Sabir.Earlier, in the semi-finals, Cantonment Club drubbed Unnao Stadium 4-0, while Super Striker beat University FC 2-1.MLA Suhail Ansari gave away the trophies and cash prizes to the winner and runner-up teams. Satyendra Yadav was adjudged man of the match, while Pratham Singh walked away with the top scorer trophy. Mohd Arib and Shubhankit Shukla were declared the best players of the tournament. The best goalkeeper trophy went to Hamza Asif, while Johad Akhtar took home the trophy for best emerging player.
