Kolhapur: Power supply to the Baliga and Nagdevwadi wastewater treatment plants will be shut down and water treatment from these plants will be stopped on Monday, April 20, owing to high-pressure pipeline work at Balinga substation undertaken by the MSEDCL.Accordingly, A, B, C and D wards of the city and adjacent suburban areas will face water cuts on Monday. There will be a low-pressure water supply on Tuesday, and KMC water supply officials have appealed to residents to use water judiciously.KMC water supply engineer Harshjit Ghatge said, "Due to the works undertaken by the MSEDCL, the areas that are dependent on Chambukhadi water tank will not be able to receive water supply on Monday. Also, the water supply on Tuesday will be inadequate and with low pressure. This includes A, B, C, D wards and their adjoining suburbs, rural areas."The areas that will witness water cuts are Lakshattirth Vasahat, Phulewadi Ring Road, Sane Guruji, Crusher Chowk, Aptenagar, Rajopadhyenagar, Kanerkarnagar, Krantisingh Nana Patil Nagar, Tuljabhawani Colony, Deokar Panand, Tembe Road, Shivaji Peth area, Sakoli Corner, Ubha Masti Chowk, Mahadwar Road, Mangalwar Peth, Dudhali, Gangaves, Uttareshwar and Shukrawar Peth, Brahmapuri, Budhwar Peth, Siddharth Nagar, Laxmipuri, Shaniwar and Somwar Peth, Bindu Chowk, Azad Chowk, Uma Talkies, Ambabai Mandir, Khanwilkar Petrol Pump area, Shahupuri 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th streets, Kumbhar Galli and Bagal Chowk.
