Kolkata: The Bengal govt is launching a new mass outreach programme, ‘Apnar Sarkar Ke Bolun (tell your govt)', replacing the earlier ‘Mukhyamantri Ke Bolo (tell your chief minister)'. The helpline number used for the programme will also be changed.
CM Suvendu Adhikari, who held an administrative meeting at
Kalyani to evaluate development projects across Nadia, Hooghly and North 24 Parganas, said the state will start a new helpline for the mass outreach programme. "We will discontinue ‘Mukhyamantri Ke Bolo'. State BJP president Samik Bhattacharya has suggested a name — ‘Apnar Sarkar Ke Bolun'. We will change the helpline number as well," Adhikari said.
The ‘Didi Ke Bolo (tell didi)' programme was launched by former CM Mamata Banerjee in 2019. It enabled citizens to bypass intermediaries and directly share complaints or suggestions with govt and party officials. After being sworn in as CM, Adhikari launched ‘Janatar Darbar' to directly address citizens' grievances.
