Lucknow: Hot and humid conditions continued in the city on Thursday. Partly cloudy sky led to a drop in maximum temperature by a degree in comparison to Wednesday, but led to a further rise in humidity levels, making conditions highly uncomfortable for people.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) had predicted thunderstorms and rain on Thursday, but conditions remained unfavourable.
The maximum temperature was 39.4 degrees Celsius and minimum temperature was 25 degrees Celsius. Relative humidity ranged between 42% and 78%.
According to the Regional Meteorological Centre (RMC), Lucknow, there are still chances of thundershowers on Friday.
Mohammad Danish, senior scientist, RMC, Lucknow, stated, “A western disturbance is active over
Pakistan and Afghanistan, with cyclonic pressure over northern India, which may bring thunderstorms at many places in the state.”
