Lucknow: Key real estate stakeholders met here on Monday evening to draft a roadmap for boosting construction and urban development in
Uttar Pradesh with a focus on sustainability. The pre-event, held to build momentum for the upcoming Rise UP conclave, centred on net-zero building practices and energy conservation across major cities including Lucknow, Kanpur, Varanasi, Noida and Agra.
Culture minister Jaiveer Singh attended as chief guest and said Uttar Pradesh was positioning itself as an investor-friendly state with a clear vision of achieving a USD 1 trillion economy. He stressed that green energy, conservation and sustainable infrastructure must underpin the state’s growth strategy.
Participants discussed aligning policy, capital and technology to speed adoption of greener construction norms and improve execution capacity. Stakeholders also highlighted the need for consistent standards and coordinated implementation among urban local bodies to scale energy-efficient buildings.
Another stakeholder, Himanshu Kushwaha, said Rise UP aims to connect capital, technology and policy clarity to accelerate the execution of green projects.
