Kenyan national detained in Mumbai slum for living in India illegally for 26 years
Mumbai: A Kenyan national living illegally in India for the past 26 years was detained by the Vakola Police. Osino Omandi, 61, was living in a chawl on Nehru Road in Santacruz East.
Vakola Police informed the Foreigners' Regional Registration Office (FRRO) and Special Branch (SB) II of the Mumbai Police to initiate the process of deporting him.
The action was taken under the supervision of senior inspector Prakash Khandekar and DCP Nimit Goyal.
