Despite heavy rain since Monday morning, Central Railway has been able to operate services. The situation is being continuously monitored through ground reports shared by staff deployed at various locations. According to reports so far, three to four stations on the Harbour line, including Kurla, Chembur, Govandi, and Tilak Nagar, have faced waterlogging issues. Points at these stations have been clamped, and trains are moving at a restricted speed of 15 kmph, causing delays of 10–15 minutes on the Harbour line.

With a red alert issued for extremely heavy rainfall in Mumbai, the BMC on Monday announced a holiday for all schools and colleges in the afternoon session (post 12 noon). Morning session schools were asked to finish their sessions at the regular time, while citizens have been advised to step out only if necessary.
