Anti-encroachment drive by GNIDA frees 40k sqm of notified land in Bhanauta
GNIDA additional CEO Sumit Yadav appealed to people to check all land records before investing in land parcels
Noida: Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority (GNIDA) on Tuesday conducted an anti-encroachment drive and freed 40,000 square metres of land in the notified area of Bhanauta village. The land is estimated to be worth Rs 80 crore. The drive was carried out by teams from the land records and project departments on the instructions of Authority chief NG Ravi Kumar. The encroachers were plotting illegal constructions on land falling under Khasra numbers 132, 133 and 135 in Bhanauta village and adjoining areas. The land was already acquired and notified by the Authority.Additional CEO Sumit Yadav said strict action would be taken against the accused encroachers. “I also appeal to people to verify all details with the Authority’s land records department before purchasing any land in Greater Noida and avoid investing their hard-earned money in illegal colonies,” he added. With rapid industrial development and the construction of Noida International Airport, land prices in and around Greater Noida have increased sharply. As a result, some people have resorted to illegal plotting and unauthorised construction. Encroachers usually occupy vacant land or farmland and sell plots to people at cheaper rates.
