NOIDA: The regional transport office will launch an enforcement drive on Monday to have auto and bus fares displayed at public places and in public transport vehicles. ARTO (administration) Rachna Yaduvanshi said 20 spots in Noida and Greater Noida have been identified where stickers with fare structures will be pasted. The move follows an Allahabad HC order of July 31.
Commuters, however, said merely pasting fare table on autos will not help. “When there is no meter, how will the commuter or the auto driver know what the actual fare is?” asked Suman, a commuter at Botanical Garden Metro station.
Noida auto union, which had earlier protested the move, maintained its stand on Saturday.
