Officials urged to build new compound wall for Denkanikottai school
Krishnagiri: Parents have urged district education and public works department officials to approve funding to build a new compound wall for the Government Boys Higher Secondary School in Denkanikottai in Krishnagiri district as the existing wall is in a dilapidated condition that could collapse anytime endangering the lives of students. The old wall has developed a dangerous lean, leading the school management to put urgent safeguards in place. Teachers are continuing to take classes while remaining on high alert.“Heavy stone pillars have been positioned against the fragile portion to keep it standing for now, but this temporary step has added to the anxiety of students and staff members,” said V Ramesh, a villager.(Photo: S Parthiban)
